Meet the Team
Joanne
Joanne isn’t just the boss—she’s the heartbeat of Two for Joy Bridal. While she’s constantly juggling the day-to-day operations both in the studio and behind the scenes, her true passion lies in connecting with our brides and guiding them toward the dress of their dreams. She’s even been known to (reluctantly!) step into a gown or two herself—especially when it comes to the black wedding dresses, which she secretly adores. And let’s be honest, none of this would run quite as smoothly without her steady supply of coffee.
Wendy
Wendy, a true legend in her own right, is often found with a feather duster in one hand and a needle in the other, handling small repairs. She sometimes steps in as the ultimate wingwoman during bridal appointments and takes genuine joy in meeting brides at wedding fairs, often spotted with a twinkle in her eye and a trusty cuppa in hand.
Bryony
Bryony is loved by all of our customers for her compassionate and bubbly personality and she loves dressing up and showcasing the dresses - you may have seen her on a bus shelter or in a magazine! When she’s not striking a pose, she’s usually spotted with a slice of cake in hand.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
In Liskeard we will get to know you over a selection of refreshing drinks as you settle into our cosy sofa. We'll chat about your wedding plans, your ideas for the dress, and begin to understand your style, shape and dreams.
In Holsworthy we will chat to you and select some dresses in our separate VIP lounge. We have blinds which we will close and you will feel totally private in our lovely lounge with a large changing room. Your guests will be able to sit comfortably on our sofa while you change. Feel thirsty? We always have bottled water - trying on dresses is thirsty work!
Because our dresses are individually bagged to keep them pristine, we don’t expect you to browse the rails yourself. Instead, we’ll walk you through the collection piece by piece—pointing out gowns we think you’ll love, and setting aside anything you'd like to try. This is your journey, and we're simply here to guide and support it.

You’re welcome to feel the fabrics (especially important for sensitive skin), and when it’s time to try on, we’ll help you in and out of each dress with care and kindness. Wedding gowns can be fiddly, but we’re pros at making the whole experience feel easy and respectful. You’ll have a private fitting room, complete with robe, and we always use a pedestal to help you see how the dress truly falls.
Before turning to your guests for opinions, we encourage you to take a quiet moment with yourself in the mirror—because how the dress makes *you* feel matters most. Guests are welcome to take photos, but your own confidence is the most important snapshot of all.
If you’d like, we can bring out veils and accessories for a little extra magic—but there’s never any pressure to decide. In fact, we offer separate accessory appointments so you can return fresh, with your dress in hand, and your hairstyle in mind.
If you find *the one* (and we hope you do!), we’ll celebrate right alongside you. As all our gowns are sold off-the-peg, you get to take yours home the same day—tucked safely into a stylish, opaque black-and-white dress bag. We’ll give you tips on how to store it, share advice on alterations or personalisation, and provide a list of wonderful seamstresses for you to choose from.
And yes—you’re welcome to snap a photo with our “I found the dress!” board, or skip it if that’s not your style. No pressure, ever. This experience is about what makes *you* feel confident, comfortable, and completely bridal.
